A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to inactive addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you have a cloud web hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a few features, but it’s very simple to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires only one single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only have to click the "Catch-all" button for the respective email address. Our system will warn you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or pick a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and takes yet another mouse click on the same button.
